- Disassembly and Sanding: After trial assembly checks out, panels are disassembled and sanded to prepare for painting.
- Primer and Sanding: Primer is applied, then sanded — repeated two to three times for a smooth, flat surface.
- Color Matching and Topcoat: Paint is mixed to the client-approved color standard and sprayed as the finishing coat.
- Finished Product Inspection: After the paint cures, panels are assembled into finished units and checked for appearance, color, and structure.
- Disassembly and Packing: Approved units are disassembled, packed, labeled, and staged for loading.

3. Upholstery Line: Eighteen Steps for Loose Furniture
Loose furniture refers to beds, sofas, armchairs — items that can be moved. These are produced on a separate line: the upholstery line. Unlike the panel line, this line handles both solid wood frame construction and upholstery work — eighteen processes in total.
Let's walk through them in three phases:
Solid Wood Frame Processing (Steps 1–11)
- Log Temperature Conditioning: Timber is placed in a temperature-controlled room upon arrival to stabilize moisture content and prevent warping or cracking later.
- Solid Wood Cutting: Logs are sawn into required dimensions, with machining allowances left according to the drawings.
- Planing and Pressing: A thickness planer smooths and flattens the sawn stock to ensure consistent thickness.
- Mortise and Tenon Jointing: Mortises and tenons are cut into the stock — the structural foundation for frame assembly.

- Color Matching and Topcoat: Paint is mixed to the client-approved color standard and sprayed, ensuring color consistency across the entire batch.
- Frame Inspection: After the paint cures, each frame is checked for structural integrity and appearance. Only approved frames move on to upholstery.
Upholstery Forming (Steps 12–16)

- Upholstery Stapling: The sewn covers are pulled over the frame and secured with staples. Corners must be tight and lines smooth. This step relies entirely on the craftsman's feel — it's where the piece truly takes shape.
Inspection and Packing (Steps 17–18)
- Finished Product Inspection: Upholstery fullness, fabric smoothness, and frame stability are checked. Any defects are reworked on the spot.
- Packaging and Warehousing: Approved pieces are bagged, corner-protected, boxed, and stored for shipment.
Hotels often specify fabric weight and abrasion ratings, and we lock these parameters in at the procurement stage. The comfort and durability of upholstered furniture depend heavily on foam density and stapling technique — two areas where we maintain strict quality control.
4. Quality Control: No Shortcuts Allowed
Furniture from both lines must pass three checkpoints before leaving the factory:
- Dimension Check: Every panel and finished unit is measured against drawings. Anything outside tolerance goes back for rework.
- Appearance Check: Paint color is compared against the approved sample. Veneer grain and edge banding quality are inspected piece by piece.
- Function Check: Drawers slide smoothly, hinges are tight, hardware opens and closes properly — everything gets a trial run.
Hotel furniture endures far more wear than residential furniture. A guest room might be occupied 300 days a year, with drawers and cabinet doors opening and closing daily. 5. Packaging and Logistics: Arriving Intact Matters
Packing may seem straightforward, but it's a craft in itself. Fixed furniture is mostly flat-packed in knock-down form. Each panel carries a numbered label, so the installation team on-site knows exactly where every piece goes.
Damage prevention during transit is non-negotiable. We wrap with EPE foam, bubble wrap, and corrugated boxes in multiple layers, with corner protectors on all edges. For long-distance shipping — some projects ship to hotels in other provinces — inadequate packing means arriving to a pile of chipped panels. The cost of rework far exceeds the cost of proper packaging.
6. On-Site Installation: The Final Step
Once furniture arrives at the hotel, our installation team assembles on-site. Fixed furniture is built up panel by panel according to the numbered drawings. Loose furniture mainly requires frame assembly and upholstery fitting.
Common site issues include uneven walls causing gaps between cabinets and walls, or uneven floors making furniture wobble. We plan for these during the drawing deepening phase — leaving adjustment margins behind cabinets and adding leveling feet at the base.
