From design concept to final installation, detailed design is the critical middle stage in hotel furniture projects. It connects schematic design upstream with factory production downstream, while managing on-site realities. The quality of detailed design directly affects project quality, delivery time, and overall cost.
Many see detailed design as simply "turning renderings into construction drawings," which underestimates its value. It sits at the core connecting position:
Core value: design realization, risk front-loading, and cost optimization. Ronghetai's team of 18 designers (15 fixed + 3 movable) serves as the "technical director" on every project.
On-site measurement is not a one-time trip — it requires at least three visits.
After civil structure is complete, before hard finishes begin, the detailer assesses structural dimensions, beam/column locations, door openings, and deviation from drawings. The goal: identify major issues early so the design team can adjust.
After hard finishes are complete, the detailer returns for millimeter-precision re-measurement. This is the most important visit — production drawings are based on this data. Scope includes walls, elevations, verticality, all openings, MEP points, and corner angles. Data is cross-checked by two detailers.
