Crafting a Seamless Fusion of European Heritage and Omani Tradition
As a landmark luxury opening in Muscat, the project required furniture that could withstand high-traffic hospitality use, the coastal desert climate, and the rigorous technical standards of the Tivoli brand. The scope spanned private guest rooms, serviced apartments, public areas, food and beverage venues, and outdoor terraces.

International Five-Star Standards – Tivoli, a 90-year-old European luxury brand founded in Lisbon in 1933, requires consistent global quality benchmarks. All FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) must pass the brand's technical submittal review.

Extreme Middle Eastern Climate – Muscat's coastal desert climate brings high heat, high humidity, and salt-laden air. Furniture must withstand long-term performance without cracking, warping, fading, or mold.

An Integrated Mixed-Use Destination – The 38,470 sqm LA VIE Lifestyle Destination combines hotel, branded residences, apartments, villas, offices, and the LA VIE Galleria. Furniture was needed for guest rooms, serviced apartments, the 520-person Juman Ballroom, 3 meeting rooms, the SOLÉ restaurant, the 72 m rooftop pool deck, and outdoor golf-view terraces .
Private Sanctuaries (Guest Rooms & Serviced Apartments)
- Headboard feature walls with integrated ambient lighting and AC outlet routing – engineered to accommodate each room's layout
- Curved headboard edges on Junior Suites and above – echoing the resort's Al Hajar mountain-inspired architecture
- Custom nightstands and minibar cabinets sized to fit SMEG coffee machines, Dyson hair dryers, and Amouage bath amenity bottles
- Walk-in wardrobes with sliding doors – soft-close DTC hardware
- Working desks with integrated cable management for the 66 sqm One-Bedroom Suite category
- Climate-controlled solid wood – ash and walnut with 8%-10% moisture content, kilned specifically for Oman's 40%+ humidity swing
The Culinary Experience

- Booth banquettes with high-density foam (≥35 kg/m³)
- Anti-fingerprint lacquer finish on dining tables – balancing high-end aesthetics with low-maintenance F&B operations
- Custom bar stools and counter-height lounge seating for the rooftop bar overlooking the golf course
Architectural Grandeur (Lobby, Library & Juman Ballroom)

- Juman Ballroom (520 pax) – Custom modular banquet chairs, presidential head-table set, and a full-size 18×7 m staging backdrop wall with acoustic fabric panels. The ballroom's design language draws inspiration from the vibrant colors of Mutrah Souq.
- Lobby & Library – Built-in super-high cabinetry, leather-topped writing desks, and custom lounge chairs that bridge European refinement with Omani material warmth.

Product description
With a design concept centered on the seamless integration of European luxury heritage and Omani natural materials, the Tivoli LA VIE Muscat Hotel is the first 18-hole golf-themed five-star hotel in Oman. The hotel offers 79 guest rooms and suites across six categories, plus 21 serviced apartments, all featuring golf or garden views. Harmotai delivered a complete custom furniture solution covering guest rooms, serviced apartments, the 520-person Juman Ballroom, three meeting rooms, the SOLÉ restaurant, the rooftop pool deck, and outdoor golf-view terraces.
The hotel's design language is inspired by the layered terrain of the Al Hajar Mountains in northern Oman. The interior combines white Omani stone, warm wood veneers, natural marble, and neutral organic textures. Every piece of furniture was engineered to bridge European craftsmanship standards with regional aesthetic preferences – including the rich wood tones, stone surfaces, and metal accents favored across the Middle East.
